The Holy Spirit, Our Comforter

When Jesus knocks at the door of our heart and we let Him in, the Holy Spirit comes in and He is sealed forever. He is our comforter, advocate, and our guide. And many more helps from Him are discovered that we need as we walk our journey in this life. Plus, guaranteed eternal life at the end!

In 1871, in Chicago USA, lived a family of a happy businessman named Horatio Spafford. He and his wife had five children. Sadly, their first heartbreak was their eldest son died at 4 years old. Horatio was a successful, well-to-do businessman and lawyer in the city of Chicago. Their second heartbreak was, during that time, the Great Fire of Chicago hit and wiped out all his real estate holdings and businesses. It brought them down to nothing. Then he sent his wife and four daughters for a holiday to England to recupe from the disaster. The third heartbreak was when Horatio received a telegram from his wife from England that the ship his family was on had sunk mid-Atlantic, and on this telegram from his wife it said the words “Saved alone.”

After cleaning up the details around him, Horatio took a ship to England. The captain of the ship he was on stopped mid-Atlantic where the boat had sunk with his family on it, for a bit of a memorial, comforting minutes for Horatio. Being comforted by the Holy Spirit as he stood there on the deck of the ship, at the point where his 4 daughters had drowned, he was able to write the words, “It is well with my soul.” This shows that Horatio trusted the Holy Spirit, his comforter, to be able to work his way through that. To this day, his words that were put into a famous song, has been sung the world over for the last couple hundred years.

What we learn from this is that we can go from losses, damages, pains, trials and hurts in our life, that we can depend on the Holy Spirit for His comfort and guidance while we walk through these things. He is our comforter for our daily walk through life! We may rest assured that as we trust in Him, He is able and willing is to walk us through, to navigate us through this life, and that is the very reason for His existence in our lives.

We trust and depend on Him for our every daily walk, our existence here, and our great reward of Eternal life!
We love you and God bless you on your journey!

P.S.: The song “It Is Well With My Soul” is available on You Tube to listen to – enjoy!

The Greatest Exchange

Years ago I was talking to a young man about the fact that when you let Christ run your life, He will provide and look out for you. This young man wasn’t ready for that; he wanted to do it all himself. Being a youngster, he had lots of great plans and great ideas, which is very good, but he told me he was not ready to let Christ run his life. He found it too difficult and was just not ready for it. What became of him I don’t know, but God is Love and loves him so much.
There is a scripture in the Gospel of John where Jesus said “You did not choose me, but I chose you.” That means when He knocks at the door of our hearts, and we let Him in, our old life dies on the Cross with Him, and we rise up into a New Life in Him! That is the Greatest Exchange of All Time!! Then the plus in that is 2 things – one is that it guarantees eternal life with Him, and the second is that you have an abundant life for today!
John 10:10 explains to us what Jesus promises: “…I am come that they might have life (eternal), and that they might have it more abundantly.”
We trust His Words and His Promises for our existence here, like “My God shall Provide all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.” That includes our health, “By His stripes we are healed.” ALLL our needs.
And a reinforcing fact besides all that is “Greater is He that is in Me than He that is in the world” – which means God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (He knows all about us and knows all the future, all our lives, all the beginning and end), and then He is omnipresent (which means He is everywhere and in everything)!
This is the God who lives in us by His Spirit!
So those facts are written for us to trust Him, believe in Him, and enjoy it which fulfills the promises of an abundant life in Him.
This is God’s love for all of you today; may His blessings, His encouragement, and His presence guide you and bless you abundantly today. God loves you all and so do we,

Trick of the Enemy

One of the tricks of the enemy is making us believe that when we sin, it separates us from God. That could NEVER happen to us believers in Jesus Christ, because the finished work of the Cross dealt with our sins once and for all. The Bible says that that will never change!!!
Our sins or anything in life that exists can never separate us from the love of God again!!! We are one with Him now and nothing will EVER change that…
The Bible says in Romans 8:38&39:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will EVER be able to separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus Our Lord.”
When I came into my new Christian life many years ago, I had never read or owned a Bible, so when I got ahold of one, I discovered that there were 6,000 promises in there, and that is how God speaks to us, through His written Word! When I would fall or sin, I would wonder where God went to; did He disappear somewhere? I lost contact with Him. I lost my joy, and depression set in. So I was reading His word about what God was saying about my whole situation, and this scripture from Romans 8 explained to me what God was like; about the Love of the Father that never EVER leaves me, no matter what!!!!! What a relief and a freedom I received against any condemnation, fear, and guilt that the trick of the enemy causes knowing that Nothing would EVER be able to separate me from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!!!
Jesus knocks at the door of your heart… Let Him in and He will speak to you. God bless you, He loves you, we love you…

Gratitude, the Magnet

Gratitude is God’s gift to us which draws us closer to Him! In the Bible, there is a scripture that says, “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning you.” It speaks there of giving thanks to God for everything. Now, gratitude is a like a magnet because it draws people and things towards us.
An example of being magnetized to the Lord, is of my brother Andy. He struggled most of his young life with drugs. It was a very difficult life for him and his parents and family. In institutions and everything. One day he appeared on my doorstep. I told him about the Love of Jesus. He had heard that many times in all his travels. It had never connected with him before, but on that day, it connected with him! And he never had a need for that lifestyle anymore. That was many years ago. The previous 40 or so years of his life, with drugs, and all he went through, certainly causes physical and other consequences. But God has a way of drowning all that out, and He has given him a new life in Jesus!!
Now, my brother is in a care facility. I visit him a couple times a week. He is losing some memory, but when I mention the name “Jesus” or if he sees anybody on television talking about Jesus, he gets all excited! He shouts and claps! That revelation never left him! He is very grateful, thankful, and blessed! He has got a blessed assurance in his heart! He wants to talk about it, hear about it, and listen to it. Many of his other hardships in his life seems to have gone away in his heart, and he has no interest in them. He has a great heart of gratitude. He is going on in his later years now but that very revelation of Jesus on that day has not left him; he is very grateful for what God has done for him and wants to talk about it all the time and hear about it!
This really all reinforces to me again that when Jesus knocks at the door of our hearts and we let Him in, it is sealed FORever!!! No one can rob us of that.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. He hold the keys to eternal life. He is always knocking at the door of our heart. Just open the door and let Him in!!!
Easter is gone, but Jesus He has risen!!! He loves you very much, God bless, image
